Back in 2012, Rassam's opened in Darnall because of the community around it. The customers who came in that first week, told their friends, and came back the week after — they are the reason there are now nine stores across two continents. That is not something we take lightly.
Every Rassam's store runs on the city it sits in. It draws its energy, its custom, and its purpose from the neighbourhood. So every Rassam's store gives back to it. Free desserts at community iftars during Ramadan. Yemen emergency relief through our YEMAID partnership. School fundraisers that we do not post about. Quiet, consistent, unglamorous giving.
We believe that a business is only as good as its relationship with the place it operates in. Fourteen years in, that relationship is the thing we are most proud of.

Four ways we give back.
Every initiative below runs week in, week out, across every Rassam's store. None of it is seasonal. None of it is for show.
Community Iftars
Every Ramadan, Rassam's stores open their doors to local iftar events. Free desserts for the whole community. No conditions, no sign-ups. The month that means the most to our family should feel special for everyone around us.
YEMAID Partnership
Rassam's is a proud fundraising partner of YEMAID — a UK-registered charity (No. 1199109) delivering development and humanitarian relief in Yemen. We run in-store donation drives and fundraising events across our locations.
School Fundraisers
We have raised money for dozens of local schools across Sheffield, Wakefield, Nottingham and beyond. Charity evenings, fundraiser menus, donation drives. We do not post about most of them because that is not the point.
Community Sponsorships
Local sports clubs. Community events. Neighbourhood organisations. Grassroots causes that never trend online but matter enormously to the people in our cities. If it matters to them, it matters to us.
